Hip Luxury at Downtown LA’s NoMad Hotel

I’m loving the recently opened NoMad Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The property is in a historic building that was originally built in the 1920s. It has been restored beautifully and the history of it paired with the contemporary California design aesthetic, which includes jewel tones and greenery, makes for a lovely oasis in the city. The NoMad reminds me of some of my travels in Europe and since interior design is a passion of mine, I was very inspired by this property’s attention to detail.

Sometimes a staycation in your own city is all you need to feel like you’re on holiday without being too far from home. Our room at the NoMad was lovely – the bed was very comfortable and my favorite part of it was the bathtub by the window. It was perfect for soaking with an amazing view of Downtown Los Angeles! The rooftop and pool were an absolute joy after a day of walking in the city.

The restaurant in the NoMad Hotel is a bright, casual and stylish space for dining. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekdays, as well as brunch on the weekends. There are also multiple bar options within the hotel. For my most recent visit, I opted for a Michelada (a Mexican Bloody Mary) in the Giannini Bar, followed by brunch in the restaurant.

The cocktails and brunch cuisine were whimsical and delicious. Not only did the drinks and food look beautiful, but they were tasty and the service was very friendly. We loved the Lemon-Poppy Pancakes, the Blue Prawn Club sandwich, and the Broccoli with Black Rice was gorgeous! I definitely recommend coming by the NoMad Hotel for a staycation, brunch, dinner or drinks. Where is your favorite hotel in Los Angeles?
