Cabo San Lucas Boutique Hotel Getaway

Living in California, there are many options nearby to visit for a weekend getaway either by car or by plane. One of my favorite places to travel to is Cabo San Lucas. It’s a a quick 2.5 hour flight from Los Angeles, yet it feels like it’s worlds away once you arrive.

Where you stay can often make or break your vacation. I can always depend on The Cape, A Thompson Hotel for a luxurious yet sheek experience that is perfect for a romantic getaway with my husband, or a family trip with my daughters. It is a very private property that features beautiful architecture – it’s sleek, earthy and modern all at the same time with it’s stone, wood and leather fixings.

One of the best parts about a getaway is experiencing new cuisine and cocktails! The Cape has multiple bars and restaurants on property including Manta by chef Enrique Olvera. Olvera is featured on Netflix’s culinary documentary, Chef’s Table, and recently won big at the World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards in Bilbao. All of the ingredients at Manta are locally sourced and the dishes are inspired by Mexico, Peru, Japan, and beyond. The Cape also happens to have the only rooftop bar and lounge in Cabo San Lucas, which allows for beautiful sunset views whilst sipping a cocktail with live music in the background.

The accommodations at The Cape are top notch. All of the guest rooms overlook El Arco and the Bahia Cabo San Lucas horizon. The beach by the hotel is full of waves and is great for surfing! The property also has two pools – an infinity pool with a swim up bar, as well as a salt water pool that I found to be very relaxing. The weekly on property happenings such as yoga, cooking classes, spirits tastings, and live music and dancing truly make for a unique and memorable experience every time.

I recommend staying at The Cape for a future visit to beautiful Cabo San Lucas. Where’s your favorite place to escape to for a weekend getaway?
